Understanding Your Prescription
SPH (Sphere) indicates the strength of your vision correction. A minus (–) value generally indicates nearsightedness, while a plus (+) value indicates farsightedness.
CYL (Cylinder) specifies the amount of correction required for astigmatism.
AXIS specifies the orientation of astigmatism correction and is normally required when a CYL value is present.
PD / IPD (Pupillary Distance) is the distance between the centers of your pupils. If your prescription does not include your PD, please obtain it from your optometrist or eye-care professional before submitting your order.
